English Language & Literature Specialist 

Caroline is an enthusiastic coach and an advocate for life-long learning. She holds a Master's degree in English Literature, a Bachelor's degree in English Literature, and earned a minor in Biology at The University of Chicago in an accelerated dual-degree program. Her best subjects on the ACT were of course English and Reading, earning 36s on both categories. She fell in love with English in her high school AP Literature & AP Language classes, scoring 5s on both tests.

Her rigorous and interdisciplinary educational background has given her the tools necessary to guide each student to success! She has taught middle school aged children all the way up to seniors in college in one-on-one sessions and formal Teaching Assistantships. Caroline's favorite part of teaching is the quick thinking required to tweak a teaching approach during a session to best help her students, and she loves hearing students talk about the same "classic" novels she read back in high school. 

In the future, Caroline is planning to pursue a PhD in English Literature and secure a professorship at a university, as well as becoming involved in the worlds of publishing and editing. Her specialized interests include Medieval Literature, Modernist Fiction, Surrealism, and Beat Poetry. Some of her favorite authors include Kurt Vonnegut, Robin Wall Kimmerer, Franz Kafka, Steven King, Barbara Kingsolver, and David Sedaris.

Aïcha is a patient and inspiring coach with over a decade of experience in personalized learning and curriculum development. A graduate of Brown University, she holds a B.A. in Education Studies. Her extensive background enables her to effectively support students from K-12, offering tailored instruction across various subjects.

Aïcha is renowned for building strong, nurturing relationships with her students, often earning praise from parents for her ability to make students feel valued while ensuring exceptional academic progress. As a scholar of child development and student psychology, she customizes her teaching methods to align with each student's unique needs and aspirations, fostering both creativity and academic success.

For several years, she has guided students through ACT/SAT exam preparation. As a storyteller and screenwriter herself, she is especially passionate about helping students embed voice and impact into their writing, and confidently navigate language arts. She scored a perfect 36 on the English and Reading sections of the ACT, and a 12 in the Writing section.

Aïcha also received 5s in AP courses across the board: Human Geography, Psychology, English Language and Composition, English Literature and Composition and others.

In addition to her teaching, Aïcha is actively involved in international education consulting and pedagogy development for schools.

A recent graduate of UC Berkeley with a major in Math and Physics, Angel brings over 8 years of teaching experience, guiding high school students, AP Math students, and those preparing for the SAT/ACT.

Shefali is an accomplished coach specializing in high school Math as well as ACT and SAT preparation. Currently pursuing her undergraduate degree in Computer and Data Science at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, Shefali combines her academic background with a passion for teaching to help students excel in their studies.

With extensive experience in coaching, Shefali has a proven track record of guiding students to achieve significant improvements in their academic performance. She is adept at breaking down complex mathematical concepts, making them understandable and engaging for students. Her expertise extends beyond calculus, ensuring that she can meet the needs of students across various levels of high school math.

Shefali’s own academic achievements are a testament to her capabilities, having scored in the top 1% on both the SAT and ACT, with an impressive 1500 on the SAT and a 35 on the ACT. Her personalized approach to test preparation has helped many students reach their full potential, equipping them with the skills and confidence needed to succeed.

Specialist in Elementary Education

Nhu Y is a dedicated and passionate coach specializing in Elementary Education, with a strong focus on English Language Arts and Mathematics. Currently a senior at Arizona State University, Nhu Y is pursuing a degree in Elementary Education and holds a certificate in Teaching English as a Second Language.

With extensive teaching experience, Nhu Y has worked with students across all elementary grade levels, as well as with special programs like AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) and Special Education classrooms. Her hands-on experience in diverse educational settings has equipped her with the skills to tailor lessons to meet each student’s unique learning needs.

Nhu Y’s approach to teaching emphasizes making learning fun and engaging, helping students build a strong academic foundation while fostering a love for learning. She is also well-versed in creating effective lesson plans through her various classroom internships, ensuring that each coaching session is both structured and impactful.
